Nádherný zážitek. Parádně připravená trasa. Tří týdenní výlet na motorkách okolo celé Bolívie. Viděli jsme a poznali jsme všechno, co jsme si přáli - přírodu, zvířata, města a lidi.

Sluzby Rolanda a Jasona byly prikladne. Vivat Bolivia! Uzivejte! 💪😉

Excellent 8-day motorcycle trip organized by Bolivia Motorcycle Adventures. Phenomenal organization, impeccable condition of the bikes (Suzuki 650), great knowledge both locally, and in everything related to motorcycles. Highly recommended.

Roland runs Bolivia Motorcycle Adventures from Samaipata, a quaint town. He’s got a great setup - with amazing bikes which he stores at his home garage- which is world class too.
We were a group of 5 friends, and did an 8 day tour. He’s got the destinations figured out perfectly. Driving distance every day was comfortable. And no site was missed. The highlights were La Higuera, Sucre, Uyuni (out of this world) and Sajama (amazing hot springs at 14,000 feet).
Don’t look any further if you’re going to Bolivia. Roland is the only game in town. We’ve done 15 custom trips worldwide. He ranks amount the top 5, if not top 3 in terms of guiding experience and selection of sites.

We recently completed a custom version of the Highlander 1 tour. Our group has been in 14 guided tours all over the world; Roland´s operation is second to none, bikes in mint condition, exhaustive planning, no question left unanswered, lodging according to expectations, Jerson, at the wheel of the support car, is a class act both as a mechanic and as a companion. Riding in Bolivia can be challenging but Roland and Jerson made it feel seamless. If you´re looking to ride in and around the Altiplano, these are your guys!

Went on the Highlander 2 tour in Nov 24 with two friends from Australia and had an absolutely fantastic time, and visited some amazing places.
About a week before the trip Roland explained that there were currently big problems in Bolivia with petrol and diesel supplies and was willing to refund us if we decided not to go, but said that if we were ok to be flexible then he would put a together a great tour which may or may not be exactly to the original. As it was, there were massive long queues at most petrol stations, but Roland did a fantastic job of somehow getting us to the front of the queues or being able get supplies from "alternative sources" to keep us going. We did have to queue twice for fuel, but only for 45 mins maximum (many of the lorry drivers were waiting for days in queues several km long).
On arrival In Samaipata (start point of the riding) Roland gave us a very detailed briefing on riding safetly in Bolivia and the rules of the road (almost none!) and answered any questions we had. The next day we went to his (incredibly tidy) garage/workshop where we were allocated a bike each. We then got to test ride them around his (very large) garden after which he would make any adjustments we needed to customise them to our fit. After this we all went for a short ride to a local landmark which further enabled us to get used to the bikes and the roads.
The bikes were Suzuki DR650s which when we got them were immaculately clean and obviously very well maintained and serviced. As we all concluded after a few days, the bikes were perfect for the conditions we encountered - fast enough on the roads, and easy to handle off road.
As I said at the beginning, the trip itself was amazing. Bolivia has some amazing roads, scenery and sights. Riding in formation at over 85kph on the largest salt lake in the world was a highlight for me, but there were so many others including the "1000 Llama valley", and going into a Silver mine. Apart from the scenery and sights we got to see and experience how real Bolivians live away from the cities and large towns. The hotels and food are not generally as good as western standards, but that is all part of the experience. Roland assured us that wherever he had selected for us to eat, the food and hygiene was safe for us, and none of us got ill as a result.
As it was, our route was not all as the original itinery due to problems getting fuel, but I have absolutely no complaints, we just went to some different amazing places and sights.

After North Vietnam and Northailand, my trip should now go to Bolivia in August, 3 weeks with high mountains, the Amazon and wide plains, plus South American culture.
> From day one, I (Dirk Africa Twin driver in D) could rely on Roland’s organisational talent, including obtaining petrol or observing possible roadblocks. We've achieved all the goals.
> The differently equipped hotels were fine for me. Breakfast at markets was a special pleasure for me, as it was much closer to the real Bolivia than in the hotel.
> highland roads, dreamlike curves on asphalt, meanwhile gravel roads, up to max. 4650 m high, all in the first part up to LaPaz. The Death Road was one of the highlights and was easily navigable at the time. Much fun was also the ride with the cable car over 200m abyss in the area of the road, highly recommended, had to ride twice.
> The lowlands with the Rurrennabague boat tour – another highlight. Crocodiles in crowds, turtles, birds, water pigs and, rarely seen, red dolphins. However, it took some time to swim in this river where crocodiles watch from afar.
> Driving-wise, there was tens of kilometers of straight road without shade at about 37 degrees and hair dryer, a lot of sand and smoke from forest fires in the air. There was still more than enough to see: the steep wall to the jungle, individual rocks and very interesting but incomprehensible: the way the menoites lived and the impact on nature.
> On the last day there was an extensive off-road route from Buena Vista to Sargento del Torno with about 10 water passages. Two of them went through larger rivers. The end was a suspension bridge – a dream and adventure!!!
>
> All in all, an excellently organized interesting trip with an all-round caring guide also in terms of safety, health and nutrition – I actually wanted to lose weight...
> Always looking for a good cup of coffee. No accident, no camber, the Suzuki is up to date with everything, technically up to date with 2024, power always sufficient and top manageable on asphalt and terrain of all kinds. Even with 90 things on loose gravel, I had the confidence when she lurched and could still sit relaxed. I will remember this great tour with Roland forever.

4 of us just completed the Highland2 tour from 12 November to 2 December 2024.
Roland the tour guide advised us that the current political situation with road blocks and fuel shortages would make for a challenging ride and we needed to be flexible in our itinerary.
We were all up for the challenge and away we went.
From our first day we enjoyed the off road and road riding through some of the most amazing mountain roads in Bolivia.
Roland speaks several languages, knows everyone and has a great knowledge of the history and Bovillian way of life. His knowledge and recommendations of where to eat and where to get a good coffee proved invallable.
His organisation skills and planning the trip was put to the test due to fuel shortages....Roland never failed to impress...just like a magician he made the impossible look easy.
We all had a fantastic time with Roland and we got special treatment right until the very last evening in Santa Cruz.
I would highly recommend Bolivia Motorcycle Adventures as the best way to see Bolivia. The Suzuki DR560's are reliable and well maintained by Roland and his helpful mechanic Yerson.
Both love munching on the coca leaf and making " bollo"...a local tradition enjoyed by many.
When you see someone with a swollen cheek...they are enjoying the "bollo".
A great cultural experience filled with fun and some of the best motorcycle roads in the world with no sign of any police anywhere to ruin your fun.
Bolivia is motorcycle heaven...high in the clouds enjoying motorcycling at it's finest.
Just do it and enjoy it!

I would like to say tis is one of the best motorcycle trips / journeys we have taken. It was really well planned out and we were able to maximise our stay - from Che to the salt range to the volcanoes. I appreciate the effort and time put in by my friends and Roland. The rescue driver was also amazing and by the end of it we considered him a friend. We had a small issue as I was not as fast as the others on mountains and Roland was concerned about leaving me behind. While I appreciate the concern, he can relax a bit and go with the flow. The rescue vehicle could also be upgraded with a motorcycle carrier in case anything breaks down. The food could have been better and I lost a few kilos (needed). In the last few days I know Roland really made an effort and I appreciate the wine he gifted us. Lastly, I left my mobile phone behind one night and I appreciate the effort Roland made to find it - it had sentimental value for me. The pre tour checkin was amazing and thanks to his local remedies none of us suffered from altitude sickness. Beautiful, country, good guide and great adventure. I recommend it and thank you.

We had a great tour, Highlander 1, 15 days in May and June with a mixed European group of 3 riders and my wife in the support vehicle. BMA has been very helpful from the beginning of my contact with Ronaldo, instructions and tour itinerary were clear. Although because of roadblocks and gasoline shortage in the Cochabamba area we had to deviated to a plan B halfway the tour.
But BMA managed thru their network of Bolivian acquaintances to get some extra gasoline so we could continue on our journey. BMA made sure we could visit the, for me, highlights of the tour like Potosi, Uyuni and the Altiplano.

Ronaldo is a professional guide with a lot of knowledge on the amazing landscape, culture and lokal sites and attractions, where to lunch, have a rest and get some coffee. We also made some smaller detours for some extra scenic photoshoots as I was carrying my cameras with me..
Bikes where well maintained and easy to ride. No technical troubles during the ride, not even a flat tire.. Hotels are as can be expected in the Bolivian country side and better quality in the bigger city's. That's part of the adventure.
We had a beautiful ride in a beautiful country with a friendly group of like minded travellers. Thanks for the company Ronaldo and to Yerson in the support vehicle, and T. and P. as fellow riders. We would do it any time again!

Best wishes..

Just rode the BOLIVIA WILD WILD west 17 day tour with Roland (Owner/guide) and Yerson his chase truck driver. Total of 4 riders plus guide. First I would have to say all his bikes where like new DRZ650's nicely set up for Bolivia riding. Big tanks, panniers, crash protection etc.. His chase truck was very very well outfitted with spare parts, tubes, tires, etc. He has a very thorough parts inventory for the bikes and his driver is a motorcycle mechanic by trade. One DRZ had a freak complete ECU failure about 10 days into the ride. Which I never heard of on a DRZ650. Well Roland had a spare'!!!! His mechanic/driver/awesome guy had it diagnosed and replaced in 10 minutes and we were on our way! All hotels and meals were awesome and we got to see some truly special places. Great tour!

I’ve just returned from the Highlander 1 tour (15 days). Roland & BMA were very professional & attentive from the very start to the finish, both during the tour & importantly from early days during my initial enquiry & various questions.

Roland is a very professional guide with a keen eye on safety for his clients, whilst also ensuring they have a great experience too.

Roland not only gave us a great motorcycle trip but also incorporated lots of interesting sights, places & histories of Bolivia.

BMA’s motorbikes are well maintained, easy to ride & gave us no breakdown issues at all during the tour.

I had a very enjoyable, scenic & interesting ride with BMA & would not hesitate to recommend Roland + Yerson + BMA to anyone wishing to explore Bolivia by motorcycle.

Thanks again BMA & keep doing what you do best !!
All the best wishes from Paul Harding, England

I just did the highlander tour. the obvious stuff is great. like the views and towns. its a very structured schedule. the bikes are in very good condition. and they maintain the bike when needed during the tour. more importantly the guide knows things and has suggestions based on his experience living in Bolivia. (e.g.) when to eat certain foods and drinks in certain areas. tries his best to provide comfort in accommodations and restaurants. that is difficult because what the country can provide is limited. always good with wardrobe questions while riding. he has a lot of knowledge when it comes to health and or medical attention. always finding a solution for a personal issue that someone may have. dietary, or allergy, or injury. he helped me greatly with an allergic skin reaction I had. fluent in Spanish he was able to translate medical terminology. also having the chase truck is a huge help. carry all your big luggage and extra tools and spare parts. and the driver is a great guy who is fun to hang out with. feels like a friend. they do all the accommodations costs and fuel and food and airport national park costs and everything so you don't have to worry or think about any of those logistics.
